 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 1.
Download the Moms Break Personalize PDF Printables of your choice. After downloading, double-click the file name to open the file (or the zip folder if you download a collection.
If you are new to downloading printables from Moms Break, and need some help with that step, go to this illustrated tutorial:
You will need Adobe Reader version 7 or higher. If you don't have the latest version of Adobe Reader, go to Adobe Reader to get your free download.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 2.

If you don't see the various icons (little images) in the toolbar (the "gray rows" at the top of the screen) as shown in Step 1, then you will need to add them to your tool bar.

Click on Tools, and then click on Customize Toolbars (as shown in the illustration to the left).

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 3.
Click in the box next to "Comment & Markup Toolbar" (a green checkmark will appear). Then click OK at the bottom of the pop-up window.
The icons should now appear on your toolbar.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 4.

To personalize the PDF printables, you can simply click the mouse anywhere in the white area of the printables. However, you can also reveal the personalizable areas in the printables by clicking on the "Highlight Fields" button, near the upper right-hand side, shown at the left in the purple row.

If you do not see this button, then you do not have the latest version of Adobe Reader. Go back to Step 1 for the link to the free Adobe Reader download.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 5.
After clicking on the "Highlight Fields" button, a blue-gray field will appear in the printables. This is the area that you can personalize. The blue-gray field will not appear when you print the page. This is simply a guide to help you with personalizing the printables.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 6.

Click in the blue-gray field and start to type. The highlighting will disappear and your text will appear.

You can type whatever you wish to have printed on each personalizable area of the printables.

Note: At this time, there is no available feature for changing the font, font size, or font color that is already set for the printable.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 7.
Another way to know where to begin typing is to move  your mouse over the what area of the printable. At the beginning of the personalizing field, a pop-up message will appear, as shown at the left, in the left-hand printable.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 8.

Type in your personalized message in the printable.

Note: In this particular PDF printable, the font colors, red and blue, were set in the printable. You cannot change the font, font size, or font color.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 9.
If you are going to use the printable several times, and want a different message each time you print it, then you will need to save the printable with a unique file name. By doing so, you will always have the original printable as a blank (template) that you can use for creating more personalized printables.
To save your printable, click on File on the toolbar, and click on Save As (see the illustration to the left).
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 10.

In the "Save in" field at the top of the pop-up window, select the folder that you want to keep your printable files in.

In the "File name" in the middle, near the bottom, type in a file name that is different from the original file name.

Click on Save.

This saves the personalized file. The blank file is still available for use to create new printables.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 11.
To print the page, once you've personalized it, you have two options for how to print the page.
Option 1:
Click on File on the toolbar, and then click on Print.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 12.

Option 2:

Click on the printer icon that appears on the toolbar.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 13.
Using either Option 1 or Option 2 to print, the print utility pop-up window will appear.
At this point, you have a few printing set-up options:
Number of copies: You can print more than 1 copy of the same page by changing the number in the "Copies" field (left-hand side, near the middle, under "Page Handling."
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 14.

You can also choose the print quality that you'd like to use. This is helpful especially if you normally print on "draft" or "quick print" quality (which helps to conserve ink). look for a button or a link to click on that will allow you to change the printing "Properties" or "ink settings." Look look for words like Draft, Quick Print, Normal, Better, etc., that are associated with your printer's printing quality settings.

Depending on the type of printer that you have, you may get another pop-up window that will allow you to adjust the print quality, and usually the type of paper that you are using (this is helpful if you want to print on photo, or glossy, paper). Select your print quality settings, and click OK at the bottom of this pop-up window. You will go back to the print utility window.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 15.
Print as many as you like.
See below for suggestions for how to use these 4th of July personalized labels.
Also, see an illustration of a personalized label.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suggestion: For 4th of July family get-togethers or backyard parties, put each guest's name on a label. Print on self-stick paper (Avery template 8165), cut out, and stick onto self-serving-sized bags of chips or cookies, or use a name tags (especially helpful if you are having a family reunion!) Suggestion: Personalize labels with each party guest's name, print on card stock, and use as name cards for your table.

Suggestion: Buy several small gifts, some suitable for adults and some for children. Personalize the labels with numbers (if you are planning on having 20 guests, then use numbers 1-20). Print and cut out. Give each quest a "raffle ticket" and then at some time during the party, draw numbers out of a hat (box or bowl). The lucky winners can pick a prize from the gift pile!

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is an example of what you can do with the labels, after you personalize and print them.
