Step 1.

Moms Break now offers a truly patriotic free printable that you can personalize! The PDF printable allows you to insert any military branch or saying at the top of the page (such as "Navy Mom" shown here). Then, after printing the page as a PDF, you can use the Word document template provided with this tutorial to use that page just as you would any other pre-designed computer stationery.

By being able to use Word, you can change the font, font size, font color, and other treatments to your letter. You can also insert photos or clipart (a link to step-by-step instructions for inserting photos is given below).

Step 2.

Open the PDF free printable in Adobe Reader. Follow the instructions provided with the Moms Bread PDF free printable for personalizing the stationery (such is inserting Navy Mom as shown in Step 1).

The direct link for this Moms Break PDF printable is provided below.

Step 3.

After you personalize the page in Adobe Reader, print as many as you want to use as computer stationery.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 4.
You can create your own Word document template. As shown to the left, measurements have been made to determine what the margins for the template should be.
For more instructions about how to make your own template (a skill you can then use to make a Word document template for any pre-designed computer stationery), go to:
However, see Step X for a link to the free downloadable Word document template that is already made for this Moms Break PDF Printable.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 5.

Once you have the Word document template, open it in Word and begin to type your letter. Remember, the Word document template will appear blank when you open it. However, when you start typing, the text will automatically be formatted so that it will appear correctly on the printed stationery.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 6.
When you have the whole letter typed (which may be one or more pages), you can put the pre-printed PDF printable back into your printer to print the letter.
