Planning a big family get-together for the 4th of July? If so, you'll need to have some activities planned and fun things to do, even for the little kids. Simple coloring books that are themed to the 4th of July will keep them occupied for awhile. Using the free printable coloring pages offered by Mom's Break and The Craft Cafe, you can make enough coloring books so that each child will have his or her own coloring book.
Just be prepared...all of those young Rembrandts will want you to put their artwork on the 'frig!

Step 2. Create a front and back cover by printing one of the coloring pages on two pieces of card stock (shown in beige here), which is heavier paper than regular computer printing paper. Card stock is available in stores like Office Depot, and can often be found at Wal-Mart or Target. If you don't have card stock, then you can skip this part. Print all of the free printable July 4th coloring pages on plain computer paper. Assemble the coloring book:

Step 4. Punch the holes. If you have a 3-hole punch, then set the holes at the same spacing as you would for a 3-ring binder (most 3-hole punches are preset to this spacing). If you are using a hand-held hole punch, then mark three holes, at about the same spacing as you would for a 3 ring binder.
