Using Grade Bucks is a good way to provide incentives for children to study, learn, and do well in school while also teaching them the benefits of "earning money" in order to purchase something they want.

An A Buck is worth 25 points.

Step 1.

Print the Grade Bucks on regular computer paper or paper stock (which is slightly heavier and more sturdy than computer paper).

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A B Buck is worth 15 points.
Step 2.
Cut the grade bucks apart. You may want to print several sheets of grade bucks.
Award an A Buck for getting an A, a B Buck for getting a B, and a C Buck for getting a C on homework, tests, and report cards.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A C Buck is worth 5 points.

Step 3.

As the student earns grades, hand out the grade bucks.

By making the A Buck worth the most points, the B Buck next, and the C Buck the least number of points, you can provide a good incentive for your student to study and learn well, and achieve good grades.

Step 4.

Use this Prize Redemption Sheet to create Prizes for the Grade Bucks, such as "One McDonald's Happy Meal = 100 points," or simply to keep track of when the bucks were awarded, such as "Parker got his first A on a math test! Good for you!"

Step 5.

You can also use this Word Document free printable template to personalize the values of each Grade Buck. This might be especially useful for children who have learning challenges.

Open this document in Word to insert text as desired. By using this blank sheet, you can tailor prize values and/or rewards to suit the needs of the student.
