Make a fun (and super easy) candy gift bag using Mom's Break free printable Christmas Candy Bag, with a Mom's Break exclusive elf design!

This craft is easy enough for young children---and enjoyed by we "older kids."

You'll need:

  • Mom's Break free printable Christmas candy bag (link shown below)
  • glue stick (I like Elmer's, it goes on purple and dries clear)
  • candy (be sure to use small candy, nothing big or bulky, shown here are Reese's Peanut Butter Bells)
Make all the folds, as shown on the candy bag. Be sure to fold in toward the plain side of the candy bag, so that the printing and pictures are on the outside.

Fold width-wise first. Please note that you do not fold the bag exactly in half. There will be a longer side (and this will create the flap you'll use to close the bag).

Then fold each side, length wise.

Here's a picture looking down into the bag, so you can see that the folds are made toward the inside of the bag.
Gently open the bag. Run the glue stick along the folded sides.
Press the bag together, along the glued sides. Wait for a few seconds for the glue to set.
Insert the candy into the bag. Remember not to "stuff" the bag---just a few pieces of candy or a couple pre-wrapped candy canes.
Run the glue stick along the inside of the flap (as shown here).
Fold the flap over the back of the bag to seal.
Now you have a clever Christmas candy bag!

Print and make as many Mom's Break free printable Christmas candy bags as you need. Be sure to make plenty---they are fun gifts to give out to UPS delivery people, the lawn maintenance crew, and your neighbors! I like to take little gifts like this when I go shopping. I love the smiles of the check-out clerks when I hand them a little gift and say, "Merry Christmas!"
