Table Decoration This baby shower table decoration is a simple design, made with minimal materials, and uses the baby rattle clipart that is exclusively available on the Mom's Break Baby Shower page. Using the instructions and the illustrations provided you can create this table decoration or "imagineer" your own. Whether your use the 1-2-3 motif that is used for the Baby Shower Party Planning Package (available at Jan's Reading Room, link provided below), opt to use the A-B-C motif (also described in the Baby Shower Party Planning Package), or decide to use the baby rattle clipart letters to spell out Mommy-to-Be's name, you can create a table decoration that will provide color to your table and add to the festivities.
You'll Need:
All materials were purchased at Michael's Craft Store. Total cost (not counting the cost of wire cutters) is about $10. Assemble the Table Decoration Cover the half circle or block of styrofoam with tulle, netting, or tissue paper. Gather at the ends and tie off with curl ribbon. Print the clipart on postcards or card stock. As shown in the illustrations, you will need 2 cards of each number (or letter) so that the table decoration can be put in the middle of the table, and seen from both sides. Secure the printed clipart cards to a wooden floral pick or a piece of wire stem using masking tape. The pick/stem should be approximately 6" long in order to be long enough to secure to the cards and stick into the styrofoam. Tape only one card to the pick/stem, and then paste the other card over it to create a two-sided card with about 4" of pick/stem sticking out of the bottom of the cards. Note: Since you will want the table decoration to be in the middle of the table, you'll have to paste a number 3 to the back side of number 1, and number 1 to the back side of number 3. Paste the two number 2 cards together. This way when you stick the card picks in the foam, it will read 1-2-3 on both sides. Insert the picks or wire stems into the foam. Decorate with other baby shower items if desired. This creates a simple, but colorful table decoration that matches the rest of the Baby Shower Party Planning Package! Get the whole package at "Having a Baby Shower? It's As Easy As 1-2-3" (http://www.jansfreecontent.com/publish/Baby_Shower/Planning_A_Baby_Shower.shtml). The baby rattle clipart used for this table decoration is offered exclusively at Mom's Break Baby Shower (http://www.momsbreak.com).
